Education & Legal Experience

A lifelong Maryland resident, Shelly earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law, attending evening classes while working full-time. After law school, she served as Judicial Clerk to the Hon. Steven I. Platt (Ret.) of the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County—an experience that provided invaluable insight into the trial process and judicial decision-making.

Shelly shares her life with her husband and their Labrador retriever puppy, Buddy.
