Shelly Maynard Ingram has represented Maryland clients in divorce and family law matters for more than 20 years. With deep experience in litigation, mediation, and Collaborative Law, she helps clients navigate some of life’s most difficult transitions with clarity, compassion, and strength.

Shelly is a skilled courtroom advocate when litigation is necessary, but also a trained mediator and Collaborative professional who supports clients in reaching creative, out-of-court solutions whenever possible.
Education & Legal Experience
A lifelong Maryland resident, Shelly earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law, attending evening classes while working full-time. After law school, she served as Judicial Clerk to the Hon. Steven I. Platt (Ret.) of the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County—an experience that provided invaluable insight into the trial process and judicial decision-making.

Her advanced mediation training includes certification in both child custody and marital property disputes, and she is committed to helping clients make informed, confident decisions about their future.
Outside the Office
Shelly shares her life with her Labrador retriever puppy, Buddy. She enjoys hiking, strength training, and exploring Maryland’s natural beauty—activities that help her stay grounded and energized. Her active lifestyle and personal experiences bring balance to her work as a trusted advocate for families.
